High School Development
Age: High school/junior high
Group Dynamics: This group is geared toward swimmers who wish to develop skills with a focus on the high school competitive environment. Attention to correct stroke technique, building core strength, coordination, and endurance is emphasized.
Entrance Requirements: Swimmers should be enrolled in high school or planning to enroll with goals toward participation on the high school swim team.
Training Frequency: Two or more times per week as determined by the coach’s evaluation of swimmer’s fitness level.
Daily yards: 2,000-5,000 depending on athlete ability
Equipment: RPC swim cap, pair of goggles, swim fins, kickboard, pull buoy, hand paddles, and a water bottle.
Move up requirements: Achievement ofSilver or Gold level entrance requirements
