RPC Safe Sport Designation - Your Help Needed!

Race Pace Club joins USA Swimming Safe Sport!

    Hi, Parents!

RPC is working on completing the requirements for USA Swimming Safe Sport participation. The program is to help each participant including swimmers, parents, and coaches to have a safe and mutually respectful environment in which to fully enjoy the sport of swimming. Safe Sport designation also helps our team qualify for grants and incentive programs through USA Swimming to help us build a better team.

We have all the requirements done on our end, but now we need your help in completing online Safe Sport training for parents and athletes (ages 12-17). There are two ways you can do this:

    1. Attend a convenient online meeting hosted by USA Swimming Safe Sport Staff

    Wed., November 3 at 8:00 p.m. EDT | REGISTER

    Wed., December 1 at 8:00 p.m. EDT | REGISTER

    Thur., November 4 at 8:00 p.m. EDT| REGISTER

    Thur., December 2 at 8:00 p.m. EDT | REGISTER

Take a free online class (roughly 45 minutes to 1 hour)

You can access the appropriate link at https://www.usaswimming.org/swimmers-parents/parents/safe-sport-for-parents

Scroll toward the bottom of the page to find “Parent/Athlete” Education and click the appropriate link for either parent or athlete.

Parents will have to create an account. Our LSC is Arizona Swimming and then select VVHP (this is different than our usual RPC designation for meets).

Thank you for your help in getting Race Pace Club AZ Safe Sport recognized! Please reach out if you have any questions.

    Warm regards,

    Coach Jato

    About Race Pace Club AZ

Race Pace Club AZ (RPC) is a year-round swim team in the Verde Valley, Camp Verde and Sedona, Arizona serving youth ages 5 to 18, collegiate swimmers, masters swimmers, and pre-team novice swimmers.

We are proud affiliates of USA Swimming. Our expert USRPT coaching staff led by Head Coach Sean Emery provide personalized swim training to help each swimmer perfect their strokes and reach his or her full potential both in and out of the pool. Swimmers get to experience improvements through game-like sets, individualized feedback, dryland fitness training, and participation in swim meets ranging from novice to international competitions.

Experience an Athletic Awakening with USRPT Training:

While the average swim team practices physiology as the No. 1 blanket principle, our approach works better and faster because we prioritize the principles of specificity, individuality, and recovery in the optimal order of USRPT training which is 1.) Technique, 2.) Psychology, and 3.) Physiology.

Our practices accommodate swimmers from across the Verde Valley — Sedona, Village of Oak Creek,  Clarkdale, Cottonwood, Rimrock, Cornville, Camp Verde — and from as far away as Flagstaff.
